Celebrating 21 new graduates!
By Darwyn Sanchez, Lifeline's Director of Schools in Honduras

On November 26, we celebrated several graduations in Lifeline's Honduran schools. It was a day full of blessings, especially for our 12th grade students, who, with perseverance, now have their degree which credit them as new professionals.

With thanks to God, we celebrate with our graduates:
- our second graduating senior class with 21 students
- 65 ninth graders
- 71 beautiful preschool students

Receiving this education makes an incredible impact and is a significant support to the Honduran society. All the teachers, parents and students are happy to reach this graduation in their different levels!

What does a 12th grade education mean?
In Honduras, when a person graduates from 12th grade, they can apply for a job opportunity. Our students are trained specifically in Information & Technology and, with this training, they can perform in the area of the bank, accounting and data tabulation.

Many of the students, probably because of the lack of opportunities, would simply finish with ninth grade, which is the level demanded by the government. But having the opportunity through Lifeline's schools they continued the effort and studied for three more years, until they reached the goal.

But their dreams soar higher...
Their struggles to improve continue; they want to study in college. To most of the students in Honduras, to be accepted in public university is a challenge. Even though the university is "free" the expenses in books, transportation, food and others, are a great challenge because besides the university work, are the basic needs at home and family.  These students are also dedicated to care for and provide for their families.

Because of this, I invite you to continue being part of the dreams that these young people want to reach through their college education.  When they finish their college studies, their families are impacted positively, along with their communities.

Thank you for sharing hope
In name of the students and teachers, I want to thank to every sponsor, supporter, and volunteer who gave hope and are part of God's plan to each one of these seniors. Thanks to your prayers and contributions, the future for these 21 young people looks promising!

We are also grateful to our beloved Jesus who gives us the strength and opportunity to teach the Bible basics to our students. We thank Him for His faithfulness and care in the life of every senior student.
