Extra Cash Gifts
· Money
can be sent over and above your Basic Child Support and is
given directly to your child; $25.00 - $50.00 per gift
deadline. This cash gift is given at the same time the
other gifts and purchases are distributed quarterly. Your
child receives the cash in their country currency and at the
exchange rate that Lifeline is able to obtain. Cash gifts
are presented with the parents present and parents must sign
that they have received the money at the time it is given.
A photo of your child (and parent or responsible adult) with
your gift is taken at the time money and all other gifts are
given.
· Money
to help the family pay for the child’s schoolbooks, clothing
and other items.
· Money
to assist Lifeline with expenses not covered by the $30.00
per month Basic Child Support contribution. Lifeline has
over 9000 children but only about 3000 are sponsored. Thus
our general fund needs financial assistance to provide for
these non-sponsored children.
· Lifeline’s
Baker’s Dozen Club: sponsors are asked to contribute a 13th
payment of at least $30.00 to help with the 6000+
non-sponsored children. This provides support for the
non-sponsored children and the schools’ needs such as books,
teaching supplies, furnishings, etc.
