Bob
DeVoe
Founder, President and CEO of Lifeline Christian Mission
In November of 1980, six months after heading a mission trip to
Haiti and spending three months there building a medical clinic
for FAME, Bob, who was a successful Commercial General
Contractor, answered God’s call to become a full-time
missionary, and founded Lifeline Christian Mission. After
liquidating his businesses, he returned to Haiti in January of
1981 to establish the mission work. With a God given gift for
vision and development, and a strong calling by the Lord in
Bob’s life, the mission work has been instrumental in bringing
thousands people to Christ. Lifeline has been established to
meet physical as well as spiritual needs of people in
impoverished countries. It was determined early-on, that all of
Lifeline's "need meeting" programs would be Christ centered and
designed specifically to lead the lost to Him. It was also
determined that emphasis should be given to help inform, educate
and involve American Christians in mission work. Thus leading to
the development of the two-part philosophy that has made
Lifeline a facilitator for Christians to serve abroad while
Kingdom Building. These goals are accomplished in these fields
through: church planting, Christian schools, vocational
projects, medical/dental aid, food programs, leadership
training, discipling, Bible and literature distribution and
various other means. Bob serves as overseer of these
ministries, with a staff of 400+ foreign nationals and about 15
Americans serving to accomplish the goals.
Aside from responsibilities in administrating Lifeline's
activities, Bob is also active in his home congregation where he
has served as an elder, teacher and leader. Bob has a
remarkable testimony of God’s working in his life to heal him
from cancer, and to redirect his life, as well as call him to
Christian service. Bob is an avid football fan and personal
hobbies include golf, reading and spending time with family
Gretchen

Administrator and Director of Lovelink & Health Care Ministries
From 1961 through 1986 Gretchen, a licensed practical nurse, was
employed by a physician in Columbus, Ohio. She began her career
as a "gal Friday" and throughout her tenure advanced to General

of nursing, health care management, personnel director and

also worked part-time with Lifeline as office manager and

Gretchen's responsibilities require her to spend five to six
months per year in the foreign field overseeing the sponsorship
work, leading Work Crusades Teams and directing the medical
outreach ministries. Her love for the children in Lifeline's
Haitian and Honduran Christian Schools allows her much joy and
satisfaction as she witnesses the young people accepting Christ
and being baptized into His body.
