Haitian students celebrated God’s creation
This past week, Earth Day was observed in Grand Goave, Haiti.
After a week’s worth of lessons in the classroom on civic duties and the environmental and citizenship issues with littering, the students in our Lifeline school learned the importance of taking care of the world that God created.
The students then got to put their learning into practice.
They gathered with plastic bags in hand and fanned out over the campus to pick up trash.
Then, carrying posters and traveling with a small band, they paraded through the community as a way to encourage people to care for the earth that God has given us.
As they made their way through town, people came out of their homes and businesses to see the children and hear their message. It was a fun outreach to the community, letting everyone know that God loves the world.
