Ministry Updates: June 2018

Because you gave your time, prayers, and/or donations, Christ's love is being expressed around the world!

Arizona Update Collage
Arizona
"Approximately 100 people have provided over 1,960 man hours of volunteer labor on the school. This is absolutely incredible as so much has been accomplished. Most of the demolition is complete and we are starting to rebuild the school. The amount of work done by our teams is completely staggering and we are incredibly grateful for everyone's sacrifice. Additionally, people are stepping up to donate items that will help the school meet its goals for completion. Kitchen equipment, sprinkler systems and more are finding their way into our inventory by reduced costs and donations which help the school tremendously.

Enrollment is now over 50 students! Praise God. God has been so good to us by providing the resources and people to accomplish so much in such a short time. School begins in only 1.5 months so we still need that miracle for God to pull off a huge turn around in the rebuild. We have not moved the date of our start as we continue to pray that the school will begin on time!" - Brian Snyder, Administrator - Red Sands Christian School

soccer championship 2
Haiti
Prophète Caristil, our physical education coordinator for the middle school (and soccer coach), sent the following exciting news:

"From April 18 to May 29, many of our middle school students (average age, 15) played in a soccer championship tournament organized by AGFOOT (Académie Grand-Goavienne des Jeunes Hopes du Football). This championship was held on the grounds of Lifeline in Grand-Goâve. At the end of the championship, Lifeline emerged victorious! It was really fun for our players and they are happy after the victory."

HO June Update
Honduras
Our students in Honduras are continuing to learn about how to put integrity into practice. Here are some testimonies from students about integrity:

"I took my friend's camera and then my friend asked me if I had taken his camera. I answered him that I did not have it, but after I felt that it was not the right thing to do and I told him that I had taken it without his permission and he forgave me." - Johan, third grade

"I was walking one day and a boy went by me on a motorcycle and his phone fell. I picked it up and called after him and I returned him and he was grateful that I did that." - Angie, sixth grade

"One day someone gave me more money than they should and I did not want to return it. I was fighting with myself if I should give it back or not, but in the end I did it. It was difficult for me but I did what was right." - David, sixth grade
