Choloma Christian Church is still serving through the pandemic!

Choloma is still serving through the pandemic!

Woman and Child receiving food
Written by Mardoqueo Aldana

God has been so faithful throughout the pandemic! There have been many challenges and hard moments, but God has provided and allowed the church to move our ministry forward. Choloma Christian Church has been adhering to social distancing guidelines and has just recently started in person fellowship. Prior to the loosening restrictions, the church was not able to gather for children’s ministry; however, the church still distributed food provisions to the children!

Because we were unable to meet in person, the building we were renting for church services was unused.
We decided to use the renting money to pay the fee for the new land as we have planned since the beginning. Now that we started to meet in person, we have been meeting in brother Emilio’s house until we are able to build.

We are so excited for our new church home and so thankful for our host, brother Emilio, in the meantime!

Testify God’s goodness!

“I have not felt like the world ended for me like many people have felt,” said brother Grolvyn. “I was more than once in the list to be fired from my job and miraculously there was always a reason to not be fired. Hundreds of coworkers were fired and I kept my job.” He also said, “I have learned to be more patient during this time of uncertainty and I have seen how God has kept us united as a church despite social distancing.”

Prayer requests and praises:

  • Pray for the church’s revival so we can be capable of announcing the Gospel as God wants.

  • Pray for the health and safety of our congregation.

  • Praise that we have seen God’s power protecting and providing all the needs for the church even in difficult circumstances.

  • Praise that the quarantine restrictions are loosening and churches are starting to meet in person.
