How has God shown up in your class?
[Rosette] God has shown up in my classroom through the love my students have for learning His word. When I do devotion with them, they are filled with joy and they are eager to ask questions. They behave well in class and also towards other students in the school.
[Roseline] God has shown up in my classroom through the motivation that my students have to learn new things in class every day. They behave well and love to participate in the devotion that we have every school day.
What are some notable updates or activities that your class has been a part of? (ie. holidays, celebrations, traditions)
Due of COVID-19 from last year our classes were not able to participate in many activities. We usually participate in Easter, Flag Day, Labor and Agriculture Day, recreation days, and Christmas.
What was the occasion and why is it important to your culture?
[Rosette] We were able to participate in the Christmas party that the school organized last year before the students' Christmas holidays. We sang new Christmas carols, dances, games, and shared a snack with the students.
[Roseline] Flag Day is celebrated every May 18. We take this opportunity to celebrate with our students because the flag represents our freedom as a nation. Recreation days often take place on a special occasion that the school administration organizes for the pupils to have some fun. Christmas and Easter is two Christian holidays that we celebrate with our students to commemorate what our savior Christ did for us.
What is your favorite memory from this year so far? Something that made you laugh? Cry? Praise God?
[Rosette] It was the birthday of one of my students and the whole class sang happy birthday to him. I was thrilled to see how they appreciate others and how friendly they are to their classmates.
[Roseline] One of my students was able to read one of the verses we were learning. It made me happy because he was having a hard time reading well, but with his courage and determination he did a good job reading this verse for us.
What are some activities or events that you and your class are looking forward to?
[Rosette] We look forward to participating in Flag Day, recreation days, playing soccer with other classes, Labor and Agriculture Day, and visiting a nearby town.

Is there a Bible verse that your class has been studying? Or maybe a verse that God has put on your heart during this season?
[Rosette] During the month I have been teaching my students the book of Genesis, just to remind them that the beautiful earth was created by God. We look later in the year to start studying verses with my students.
[Roseline] We have been studying many verses. This week we are studying Ephesians 6:1. When we learn a verse from the Bible, I see great changes in their lives.
Is there a student or parent that has stood out to you? How and why?
[Rosette] I had one parent who came to me to say thank you because his child has been doing well in school and getting good grades. This encouraged me to continue doing my job as a teacher.
What would you like to say to partners who are supporting the class and students?
[Rosette] I want to say thank you on behalf of my students. Thank you for giving them an opportunity to go to school and so that tomorrow they can become great people in their society. May God bless you for your heartfelt support to them. We will be praying for you to stay healthy and to progress in life.
[Roseline] Thank you for opening your hearts to support my class and my students. I know that God will reward you for your good deeds towards his children. I know that with your support my students will go to great lengths in their studies. May God bless you and you keep you safe. We will continue to pray for you and your families.
