How has God shown up in your class?
God has shown up in class through the devotions we do each day with our students. They love to pray and sing Christian songs in class. They automatically pray for the food the school serves them and that makes me happy to see how God is making an impact in their lives.
What are some notable updates or activities that your class has been a part of? (i.e. holidays, celebrations, traditions)
Flag Day, Labor and Agriculture Day, and recreation days.
What was the occasion and why is it important to your culture?
Flag Day is a big event for us. We celebrate it every May 18th. We do coloring, crafts, and participate in parades with the older students.
Agriculture and Labor Day is every May 1st. We make crafts of trees and plants and encourage students to plant and take care of their environment.
Recreation days are held on special occasions, as a way to let the students have fun, participate in nature, and explore the world.
What is your favorite memory from this year so far? Something that made you laugh? Cry? Praise God?
The students told me they wanted to learn more verses to share with their friends at Sunday School. This made me happy for the passion they have for the word of God.
What are some activities or events that you and your class are looking forward to?
We are looking forward to doing more crafts, coloring and participating in Flag Day.
Is there a Bible verse that your class has been studying? Or maybe a verse that God has put on your heart during this season?
We study one verse every week in class. This week we are studying Psalms 1:4.
Is there a student or parent that has stood out to you? How and why?
I had a student who was very shy in class and didn't want to come to me when I called him. I had to call his parents so he could change his behavior. After we talked to him, he became friendlier with his classmates and participates in the activities we do in class.
What would you like to say to partners who are supporting the class and students?
I would like to say thank you for supporting my class and students. We pray for peace and blessing in your homes. My students are blessed to have you. We look forward to meeting you in the future and spending time together.
Prayer Requests:
- You can pray for us because we need God's grace in our school so that our students can have the wisdom and understanding to learn and progress in their schooling.
- You can pray for their health and also for the presence of God to be in their life.
