How has God shown up in your class?
God has shown up in my class through the knowledge He has given my students to learn well and fast, and also in the respect they have for others in school. They also love to sing Christian songs during their breaks from class.
What are some notable updates or activities that your class has been a part of? (i.e. holidays, celebrations, traditions)
Flag Day, Labor and Agriculture Day, recreation days, Christmas.
What was the occasion and why is it important to your culture?
Flag Day is celebrated in our country every May 18th. To celebrate this occasion we make small flags and wear red and blue to participate in the parade in our city.
We celebrate Labor and Agriculture Day on May 1st. On this special occasion, the school usually has fun activities, like taking them to visit a garden and learn different names of plants and vegetables.
Recreation days are usually held on special occasions. We do crafts and sometimes take them to the nearest towns and other interesting activities.
What is your favorite memory from this year so far? Something that made you laugh? Cry? Praise God?
Two of my students sang the national anthem. This made me proud of them. Even though they are little, they were not afraid to sing at loud for the other students from different classes.
What are some activities or events that you and your class are looking forward to?
We look forward to taking part in Flag Day and recreation days, and also to playing soccer with other classes.
Is there a Bible verse that your class has been studying? Or maybe a verse that God has put on your heart during this season?
My class has studied Ephesian 16 verse 1. They have learned this verse to encourage them to have respect for other people in their environment and to do what is right in the sight of God.
What would you like to say to partners who are supporting the class and students?
Thank you for sharing the love of God to these students. May God in His grace continue to pour His blessings on you and your families. God likes to take part in the good things we do in His name. We are happy to have you and look forward to meeting you in the future.
