Growing and Learning Together!

How has God shown up in the 7th grade class?

God has shown up in 7th grade through the devotions they have each morning before class. I have seen that they are becoming more mature and that they get along well. They love to sing Christian songs and set good examples for the primary classes.

What are some notable updates or activities that this class has been a part of? (i.e. holidays, celebrations, traditions)

We don’t do many activities due to the full curriculum they have to follow in their grade. We usually participate in Flag Day, memorial days, and Christmas.
 

What was the occasion and why is it important to your culture? 

Flag Day is a big event in our society and almost all businesses, offices and schools participate in celebrating this event. The occasion is celebrated on May 18. We usually participate in the parade in the town.

For other important events like memorial days, and Agriculture and Labor Day, we organize conferences with them or, if possible, take them on tours to visit memorial sites. On Agriculture and Labor Day, we usually have conferences on how to care for plants and prevent erosion by encouraging them to plant more trees and teach their parents about the potential benefits that the plants have.

What is your favorite memory from this year so far? Something that made you laugh? Cry? Praise God?

What impressed us so far this year is that the students are well-behaved and that they show respect to all their teachers. We have teachers who come to the school administration to congratulate us for the wonderful work we have done with them, because they cannot find this same attitude that our students have in other schools in the town where they teach.

What are some activities or events that this class is looking forward to?

We look forward to participating in Flag Day and the soccer championship if it will be possible to do this year due of COVID-19.

Is there a Bible verse that the class has been studying? Or maybe a verse that God has put on your heart during this season? 

They have been studying many verses and they look forward to learning more. They are currently studying Isaiah 11:3.

What would you like to say to partners who are supporting the class and students?

Thank you for supporting the classes and students. May God bless you and keep making positive impacts in your lives for blessing these students. They are happy to be in a class where they are receiving a Christian education which will help them become wonderful people who will help their country in the future.

Prayer Requests:

• Pray for the 7th grade classes as they are now entering a higher level in their education.  
• Pray for God to give them good knowledge and patience to better understand the teachers who come daily to teach their classes. 
• Pray that they stay healthy and progress in their education. We also want God to continue to protect them from the pandemic and this school year to be a blessing for us.
