How has God shown up in your class?
Marie Claude: God has shown up in my class through the friendship my students have started to have among themselves. They like to learn new Christian songs and that makes me believe they have love in their hearts for God.
Marie Jeannise: God has shown up in my class through the way my students behave when they are in class, they love to dance and clap when we sing Christian songs in class. They started to be friendly with their classmates and it makes me feel the presence of God in my class.
Darly: The presence of God has shown up in my class when we do devotion and teach them how to pray. I have seen great changes in the way they behave and get along in class.
What are some notable updates or activities that your class has been a part of? (i.e. holidays, celebrations, traditions)
Flag Day and Christmas.
What was the occasion and why is it important to your culture?
We celebrate Flag Day on May 18th. We do fun activities like coloring. Everyone wears blue and red to come to school.
Christmas is an important event for us. We celebrate with the students, sing Christmas carols, color and give them a snack before going home.
What is your favorite memory from this year so far? Something that made you laugh? Cry? Praise God?
Marie Claude: My favorite memory is that one of my students wanted to sing a Christian song and didn't know it all, so the whole class helped him sing the song.
Marie Jeannise: Four of my students came to hug me just to say thank you for being their teacher. It made me happy because they love me.
Darly: My students asked me to teach them more Christian songs to sing in class when we do devotion. I was happy because they love God and want to praise him through songs.
What are some activities or events that you and your class are looking forward to?
Flag Day, learning different colors , coloring, learning new songs, and Christmas.
Is there a Bible verse that your class has been studying? Or maybe a verse that God has put on your heart during this season?
Marie Claude: We are studying Exodus 14:14. It reminds them that God will always be by their sides if they are good children.
Marie Jeannise & Darly: We look forward to studying many verses in class. We are currently studying Psalms 34:2.
Is there a student or parent that has stood out to you? How and why?
Marie Claude: I have a parent who complains about his child always coming home dirty. I have to remind him that this is his first year of school and that he needs to be encouraged instead of making him feel more unhappy to come to school.
Marie Jeannise: On the first day of school, some students cried because they missed their parents and asked me to send them home, but now they like school and don’t cry!
Darly: I had many who cried and wanted to go home on the first day of school but after a few weeks they got along well in class.
What would you like to say to partners who are supporting the class and students?

We look forward to keeping you in our prayers. We know that God will bless you for making these small students happy. May God bless you and keep you in good health for the wonderful work you are doing in His name. We look forward to meeting you in the future. We will pray for you and your families.
