How has God shown up in your class?
The presence of God has been manifested in our classroom by the way He manifests His love, wisdom and patience through the students. The students are always ready to take care of and support one another.
What are some notable updates or activities that your class has been a part of? What was the occasion and why is it important to your culture?
On May 18, we celebrate Flag Day and students have the opportunity to share their thoughts on the flag and why it is important to us. May 1st is Labor Day in Haiti; we take the opportunity to share our culture with them and also how they can be successful in their community.
What is your favorite memory from this year so far? Something that made you laugh? Cry? Praise God?
One of my favorite memories from this year so far is that some of my students take turns wanting to pray when they come to class every day. It makes me happy to see how they rely on God and have faith in Him.
What are some activities or events that you and your class are looking forward to?
We can't wait to play soccer with the other classes, and to participate in Flag Day and Labor Day.
Is there a Bible verse that your class has been studying? Or maybe a verse that God has put on your heart during this season?
We are studying Hebrews 12:14. We always study one verse each week in class.
What would you like to say to partners who are supporting the class and students?
We would like to say thank you for your generosity to our class. May God in His love continue to make ways in your lives and keep you healthy. Your support will encourage the students to make more effort in their schooling. We will continue praying for you and your families.
Prayer Requests:
- You can pray for me and my class that God will give us health, courage, patience, wisdom and love.
- The past year was not a good school year for us due to COVID-19 and political issues in our country. We would like this year to be a good one for us.
