5th Grade at LaregalHow has God shown up in your class?
God has shown up in my class through the way my students behave. They love to sing Christian songs and read the Bible when we do devotions. They enjoy supporting each other and being good students in the classroom.

What are some notable updates or activities that your class has been a part of? What was the occasion and why is it important to your culture?
On Recreation Day, it occurs during the summer vacation in June. It is important for our culture because it is the moment when the pupils have fun and explore an unknown area.
On Flag Day (May 18th), my students always love to help make the little flag to celebrate, it's important to us because the flag represents us. We made small national flags and attached them to sticks.
Labor Day and Agriculture Day play an important role in our society. We teach the students how to get involved in their community.

What is your favorite memory from this year so far? Something that made you laugh? Cry? Praise God?
Some of my students went to see a student who was not feeling well; they came back to school and prayed that the next day he could return to class. I was amazed to see how they care for one another.

What are some activities or events that you and your class are looking forward to?
Recreation Day, Flag Day, and playing soccer with other classes.

Is there a Bible verse that your class has been studying? Or maybe a verse that God has put on5th Grade at Laregal your heart during this season?
We have been studying John 15:12. We take advantage of this opportunity to encourage our students to love and care for others through this verse.

Is there a student or parent that has stood out to you? How and why?
There is a parent who congratulated me on the progress he saw his daughter make with school and also gave me a gift to encourage me to continue doing my best with the students.

What would you like to say to partners who are supporting the class and students?
I would like to thank you for opening your hearts to help these children in their schooling. Learning is not easy, but with the encouragement you give these kids, it will motivate them to work harder and get good grades in school. God bless you.

Prayer Requests:

  • I would like for you to pray for me so that God continues to keep me in good health to be able to teach my students.
  • I also would like to pray for my students to be kind, have respect for others, and to be good Christians.
  • We would like for this year of school to go well, where we don’t have to worry about COVID19 and political unrest.
