Ocotillo Class Update
Class: 4th Grade
Written by: Dilcia J.
How has God worked in your class recently?
God has worked in the lives of each one of my students. He has been present, despite the social problems from the pandemic; our Heavenly Father protects their lives and has kept them present in each class given.
What are some activities that your class has been a part of?
Thanks and honor to God that the fourth grade has been able to participate in each of the programmed activities at the school; whether virtually or in school! The students participate in celebrations such as: Mother's Day, Father's Day, Day of National Identity and other fun events.
What is your favorite memory from this year so far? Something that made you laugh? Cry? Praise God?
When someone is in charge of a group of students, God gives you the privilege of sharing something more beside the academic themes. Whether it is virtual or in person, you have the opportunity to be the student's confidant or help a parent. One story I remember most was a girl that was separated from her mother. Despite the family issues that the girl was going through, she always fought for having good grades in her academic activities. God is good and He provided strength to the girl to overcome her problems.
My class and I laugh all the time. We like to have fun and joke around while completing assignments. Sometimes students will make silly mistakes and we all have a laugh afterwards.
What are some activities or events that you and your class are looking forward to in the next few months?
My class has been working on activities that help to motivate them and elevate their self-esteem. Each student answers questions on the topic of the day, and then they are praised by the teacher for their attention, responsibility, and participation.
Is there a Bible verse that your class has been studying? Or maybe a verse that God has put on your heart during this season?
When the time is ready to present their practical activities, recreational or evaluation activities, we always add Philippians 4:13 so the students always know that we can do everything when God protects us.
What would you like to say to partners that are supporting the class and students?
Above all, thank you for that grain of sand that you add to the Lifeline foundation. Thanks to your work, we as teachers are able to get to each family of our community and not only provide the "Bread of Knowledge" but to also reach beyond depending on each student's circumstance and the family to be able to talk about Jesus, and may each one has the certainty of His presence within them.
