New Year, New Tools, New Expectations

My name is Gina Rojas. I am the teacher in the 2nd grade. Learning to teach virtually was not easy, but now I know I can do many things to help my students learn. 

My grade is more independent, and it amazes me how kids can get adapted to this new way of doing things and find ways to express and make us feel their love differently, even if it’s through a screen.

They are starting to talk more about friendship, and not being able to share with their peers is not easy. But through some activities, I try to help them relate and have spaces to communicate with each other. I know I have to be creative in this area.

We are just beginning, and I am very excited to see all the adventures we will have this year.

• I miss the contact with my students. Please pray for healing so we can have a safe environment to go back to normal.
