New Year, New Tools, New Expectations
My name is Lorena Carrera. I teach 8th grade.
Beginning this school year has been full of great expectations, and at the same time, it has become a challenge since now we live another reality. However, it is a situation that will help us grow in many ways.
The 8th graders are starting a strange age; too old to be kids, too young to be teenagers. I have observed nervous laughter, shy glances, and confusion in how to relate. It is a normal part of aging.
In the new system of virtual classes we have now, we work more on activities that allow students to practice what they learn, so it becomes significant in their daily lives.
Different strategies are also applied to ensure that all students can learn despite the various complications in their daily lives. The internet can come and go, or some don't have all the necessary tools.
I am aware that it is a radical change that we are going through, but we will finish the school year successfully with God's help and teamwork.
Prayer Requests:
- Please pray for provision in the houses of my students. Times are not easy.
-
Pray that all my students have healthy families and that we may also have a successful end to the school year.
