School is back in session!
Welcome back students!
The 9th grade classes returned to Grand-Goave on Monday, August 10, and the younger students at all of our schools made their way back on August 17!

When schools were closed earlier this spring due to COVID-19, the students were unable to complete the 2019-2020 school year or take the end-of-year exams. School is resuming to finish the 2019-2020 school year from August to October, with the new 2020-2021 school year to start in November.
We are so happy they're back!
Please pray for the students, teachers, administrators, and their families!

Restructuring the Nutrition Program
Prior to the pandemic reaching Haiti, Lifeline transferred leadership of the Nutrition program to the Lifeline Church in Grand-Goave. During the transition, the programs have been restructured to promote sustainable growth and minimize dependency following the CHE model. Placing these programs, in a restructured format, under the church has ensured that those who need the nutritional help most are getting it!
The Nutrition Program in Grand-Goave has started implementing changes to best help the hungry in Haiti, while preventing the further spread of COVID:
- Staff and recipients are asked to adhere with social distancing, hand washing, and mask wearing guidelines.
- Families in the Nutrition Program will come to our Grand-Goave campus once a month instead of weekly. While this may be more of a challenge for our staff, it lessens the risk of exposure for all.
Please pray for the clinic staff as they adapt to the new procedures and safety protocols!
