School Started off Great in Honduras!

Photo of teacher grading papersWhere have you seen God working at the school?

God has been good to us and has walked along us in all this process. I feel that He has worked in each student and teacher in a special way, protecting us from all danger and not letting us go away from His hand.

Is there a student or staff member that has stood out to you? What made them stand out?

Yes, there are 3 students who, despite being little and just starting school, have developed and accomplished with excellence their work. They participate in class and are willing to collaborate in everything. Their names are Hellen, Aniel, and Eduardo.

Another student who stands out is Emely Fabiola. She is new at our institution. She has adapted well to the instructions and the use of online classes. It is hard for her to understand some activities, but she always asks when she has doubts and makes an effort to accomplish the activities daily. She is an obedient girl, respectful and neat.

What is something you are doing to encourage spiritual growth amongst your students?

Each day, in the morning, we have prayer teaching the students that prayer is the key that opens heaven’s door to communicate to God.

What was the most enjoyable holiday, celebration, or cultural tradition that happened this year?

Easter week! It is the time to reflect, analyze what we really have, what we have accomplished, what we truly need, and thank God for what we’ve been given.

Is there a Bible verse that your class has been studying? Or maybe a verse that God has put onPhoto of a class at Gonzales your heart during this season?

“Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.”  Colossians 3:14-15

What would you like to say to partners that are supporting the class and students?

Thank you for the opportunity you give the students as well as the teachers and that despite not knowing you physically, your goodness and love feels close to us. We are thankful for your contribution to our country. Each day we pray for each one of those who support this institution that your lives and your families will be blessed, and that God will multiply you in everything your hands do.

Prayer Requests:

  • Pray for the students. May God brighten their minds and help them strengthen their knowledge.

  • Pray for the students who are taking a trip far from their country. May they arrive safe and sound to their destiny, under God’s will.

  • Prayers for the students who are going through difficulties at home. May God strengthen them and unite families, so they can live in love and harmony.

  • Pray for those who are going through COVID. May the Lord Jesus Christ strengthen them and heal them of any pain they may have.

  • For the economic situation of some parents.
