David City

Lifeline in David City

There are almost 300,000 Indigenous people in Panama. They are divided between 5 different groups located in various parts of the country. Despite Panama City’s modern skyscrapers and affluent economy, poverty is much more the norm throughout Panama’s reservations. Many of the Indigenous people live in very primitive conditions with little help from others.

Lifeline’s ministry has been centered about an hour out of David City, in the northwest part of Panama. The Ngoble-Bugle people, also called the Guaymi (pronounced “why-me”), reside in the mountains. The ministry includes two established churches, multiple house churches, and a developed leadership that reaches their communities.
