Lifeline's new look

Over the past year, we've taken a look at who Lifeline is: where we began, where we are today, and where God is leading us in the future.  Through this we've defined who we are and what we do, and also took a look at how our logo reflected that message.

As we reviewed our previous logos over our 35 year history, there were 2 key elements we wanted to hold to: the cross and the globe.  Jesus Christ is why we are here and is central to all we do, and the globe is simply following God's command to take His message to everyone around the world.  As He opens doors, we follow.

But as we looked into what we wanted to portray through a logo, we took a deeper look at who we are: our past, our present, and where God may lead us in the future.

Through these discoveries, we looked to our past to define the future...

We started with our name.  The word "lifeline" means something that is used to save a life.  God threw us a lifeline to rescue us from our sins.   So we started with a life preserver.

Within the life preserver, we wanted the cross to be evident.  The cross is layered in everything that we do.  Jesus' sacrifice is why we are here and have the opportunity to share His love and grace with others!  So, with a few simple strokes, the cross was revealed.

step 2: adding the cross

As we looked at who we are, another element we wanted to include was a compass.  A compass is a tool that gives direction, which is essential on this journey through life.  Although we know our eternal destination and we want to bring as many people along with us as we can, the path may be unclear at times.   We trust God to lead each step of the way.

step 3: adding a compass

We were getting close, but a key element was still missing...

God commanded us to take is Word to everyone, everywhere.  (Matthew 28) So we brought in the globe.

step 4: adding the world

A globe that is intersected by the cross...

Where the compass points to Christ...

Because God first threw us a lifeline - a life preserver - through His Son.
