The Ocotillo Clinic is expanding its psychology services to meet the growing need for mental health and learning support in the community. The project will upgrade the existing clinic to enhance a dedicated counseling room, equip a learning space for children with cognitive and educational challenges, and furnish a small waiting area for families.
This expansion will provide children, adolescents, and adults with access to professional counseling, early intervention, and specialized educational support—helping strengthen emotional well-being, academic success, and family stability.
This includes the facility improvements and equipping, salary to increase staffing the clinic with a licensed counselor for additional days each week for a year, and administrative support to ensure the program is effectively managed and sustained.
In Memory of Jason Rew
Funding for this project is in memory of Jason Rew, a devoted Christian and father who enjoyed a career as a test pilot and loved and served with Lifeline Christian Mission on several trips to Haiti.
A former Lifeline staff member shared, "After the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti, Jason worked alongside Lifeline’s young men, and was responsible for distributing food throughout the Grand Goave region. But Jason became a hero to the young men who helped him. Each morning, he spent time with these young men—talking about life, sharing Scripture, praying, and encouraging them to take courageous steps of faith. The young men came to love Jason deeply. Years later, whenever Lifeline staff returned to Haiti, the young men continued to ask about Jason. They never forgot the way he made them feel seen, valued, and believed in."
The project funding goal is $20,000. Any funds given beyond this will go to support the ongoing work of Lifeline in Haiti.
Stephen and Deborah Rew, who also served in Haiti, will provide matching funds up to $10,000 to honor their son.
